Nemingha Cross Country

Students competing in the cross country

On Friday last week there was a sea of blue, green, yellow and red marching towards the paddock as the whole school came out to cheer each other on as they ran around the course. They had been practising every week since returning to school so they all reached their personal best.

Though this year was very different without parents and the Nemingha community there to support the students, it did not deter the students’ determination and pride. Students and teachers were cheering and dancing to ‘Eye of the Tiger’ as competitors ran past the gate. It was an amazing sight to see the whole school lining the school oval to cheer on our Infants students as they ran the course, some for the very first time.

It was topped off at the end by the house war cries the students have been practising since returning to school. Well done to Emus for taking the win.

See our newsletter for placegetters in each age group, and lots of photos in the image gallery.
