Students learning to program robots

Students in 5/6W are having a fantastic time in Science this term.
They are learning how to build and code the WeDo Lego robots from the T4L STEM kits. This week they investigated how to use the motion sensor and the tilt sensors. They programmed their robots to respond to the data received through the sensors.
Some students were able to program their robots to stop or reverse when they sensed something in front of them.
The children felt this technology could be useful in cars to prevent pedestrians accidents.
